History

Melillo Consulting has been providing companies with IT solutions for over 23 years. The company was founded in 1988 by Mark Melillo, who had previously spent 5 years as an HP technical consultant. He hired his first employee the following year after winning his first large government project that required 60 - 70 hours per week.

Melillo spent the next 5 years in hardware and software consulting before being approached by HP in 1993 to become a value-added reseller. In 1995, Mark hired his brother Gary, an established salesman, to run his rapidly expanding sales force. Recognized as a valued IT resource by number of enterprise and midsize companies, Melillo grew to 100 employees by the end of 1995.

Melillo was named as an HP "Elite Reseller" in 1998 and by 2000, became a multi-vendor, full system integrator. The company partnered with EMC in 2005, adding to their vendor portfolio and further expanding service capabilities. That same year, the company surpassed $50 million in revenue and made news as it was named to the VAR500, New Jersey's Fastest Growing Companies list, and received the Economic Vitality Award.

In 2009, Steve Tepedino was hired as president to run the daily operations and develop the company's growth strategy, while Mark focused on the company's long term strategy. Today, Melillo consulting is recognized as an HP Elite Partner and EMC Premier Partner, and has excellent relationships with a number of other IT hardware and software providers. Melillo continues to provide valuable solutions and services to its customers, maintaining a long standing reputation as an experienced and trusted IT resource.
